DOLORES LAKE RESORT, LAKE SEBU, SOUTH COTABATO

I believe in slow travels; sometimes, we needed time to just spend a day lazing around and simply enjoy the art of doing nothing. On our 7th day of vagabonding we chose to check-in at Dolores Lake Resort in Lake Sebu. We should be at Koronadal City by that time to witness the Binibining Koronadal with Kuya Avel (as the judge) Nanardz, and some other bloggers from Sox region but I have this tremendous pain on my legs and I needed rest.

We just decided to laze around and just enjoy the scenic view around us.

We went here right after the most tiring trek (yet) of my life, chasing two waterfalls in Lake Sebu. Im never blaming the hike for my leg sprains though.  We rode a habal habal to reach the Resort. Fare is 50pesos per pax. Apparently, I told the habal habal driver to bring us to Punta Isla but I don't know what happened with him, either he's connected with Dolores Lake Resort or he didn't clearly understand my instruction. boooo ;/
I wanted to complain but decided not to as I really wanted to sleep and rest already, paid the driver and moved my way to the reception area.We were looking for a place where we could just pitch. They do allow guests to set-up tents but there were too many fees to pay so I decided and opt to get their cheapest room available. There, A fan room for two with free breakfast (which was considerably nice) but it doesn't have its own toilet & bath. *sobs* It was way too expensive for a budget traveler like me, I convinced my self that I was really tired and needed a decent room to rest in.

Dolores Lake resort's main entrance. Simple and I love the native feel of the resort.

Dining Area.

I found myself sitting right there(picture above) right before the sun decided to hide behind the rolling mountains.

I love the feel of this Resort. Everything is simple. The paintings, the staircase, the simplicity of everything made this place extra beautiful. While we were there, there were a lot of families. must be post new year celebration. I must say, this place is good for family who wants a nice place to relax and a place where both kids and adult can surely enjoy.

okay so this was our room. it was okay :D walang ng arte. gora nalang! I had a long gooood sleep!

and waking up to this. Ahh! Good good life! The churping sound of the birds that awakens you in the morning. The quiet scenery, the lovely mountains as the backdrop.. Very relaxing! I wish all mornings are like this, but reality kicked in before i knew it. "sigh"

I really enjoyed our stay. Im surely gonna be back here, of course with my family the next time around. I want them to experience the natural beauty Lake Sebu has to offer. What a very nice way to end our week long vagabonding!

  10. Very beautiful. Your shots are awesome as well. How do you pronounce the name of the lake btw? Is it the same as cebu or is there some kind of slang in there?

  11. I love everything that is native inspired. The place looks amazing. And yes, I agree with you, it's really good to wake up with the chirping of birds rather than hearing a busy street. It's always best to treat yourself once in a while :)

  16. That place looks nice - nothing fancy but great for comfort :) I love the native style. The view must have been great although I can't appreciate it much because the mountain looks brown :) Still, it would have been nice to visit Lake Sebu.
