Jasmine Restaurant at The Oriental Hotel, Palo, Leyte

In line with the Pintados- Kasadyaan Festival, we were invited by The Oriental Leyte Hotel to experience dining in their Jasmine Restaurant, (said to be the only first class hotel in Eastern Visayas. )

Jasmine Restaurant, located at the ground floor of the hotel where more than 500 people can fit in one sitting. There's an indoor dining area and al fresco dining by the infinity pool.

They welcomed us with a very refreshing drink, The Jasmine's Cucumber Lemonade.  A tall glass of this drink is never enough for me, I drank two tall glasses that evening.

The following photos shows the dishes they served that night.

SEAFOOD CHOWDER SOUP

This one is really delicious, the crabmeat is a plus factor. That bread bowl is pretty amazing eh?

not long after they served the Kinilaw na Tangigue.

GRILLED TANGIGUE

Looks delicious but I don't eat fish so Ill leave the comments up to my other friends.

Pinakbet
Sauteed vegetables with special shrimp paste and special toppings of pork bits.
Really really good! I love how thick the soup base were.

WARNING: CRAPPY PHOTOS AHEAD. I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED BUT MY PHOTOS MYSTICALLY DISAPPEARED. PHOTOS I TOOK AND UPLOADED TO MY INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT THAT NIGHT.

BEEF CALDERETA

I have a thing for slow cooked dishes, it produces tender and juicy meat! What's really surprising about this dish was the "GRATED CHEESE" it definitely adds an ooompph to this dish. REALLY GOOD!

Hinatukan na Manok

and my favorite dish for the night! Native Chicken cooked in thick coconut milk.

Very yummy with a special and distinct taste, sweet; that is very popular amongst the dishes in their region.

Mangoes that goes well with their special shrimp paste. Bagoong not in the photo.

Panacotta

HUGE SERVING! Anything sweet is really delicious to me so I might not be able to provide honest opinions. lol

They even gave us "SPECIAL ENSAYMADA" to take out. I forgot to take a photo of it. I ate it on the bus, on my way to Ormoc City. I really love the taste of their Ensaymada, not too sweet and not too buttery.
Infact, I am still dreaming of that Ensaymada. I SHALL RETURN.
