After a week of arduous adventure and hopping through different transportation, we badly need some pampering. Thank Heavens to Marco Polo Davao City for hosting us for 3 days and 2 nights. It was a fantastic time staying at Marco Polo Davao.
Marco Polo Hotel is consisted of 240+ non smoking rooms and suites. Where every room is elegantly designed; all with beautiful vistas, overlooking Mount Apo and the Gulf of Davao. Location is also pretty good. Marco Polo Hotel is located at Claro M. Recto Street in the heart of the city's business and commercial district. There are a lot of establishment in the area and most of the key establishments are just a few minutes away.
We were given a twin superior room. I love the fully carpeted floor. The room also has a room temperature control which I noticed first. The bed is also so good ( You might not want to get up in the morning). The T&B is high standard and has a bathtub plus a complete complimentary toiletries. There's an executive desk, an IDD Telephone with voice mail facility, fax modem port, FAST internet access, LCD TV with cable,a complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, a mini bar, and in-room safes.
Prices starts at 9,800 a night.
|My corner. oh that bed!|
The breakfast buffet selection at Cafe Marco is generous enough for a hungry stomach. They offer impressive buffets and International a la carte dishes prepared by the chefs in its unique show kitchen. There were a lot of foods but I went gaga over the pastry section. Their pasta section is also worth checking, is sure to please even the most discriminating palates.
There's about 6 restaurant and bars in this prime hotel that serves equally great food.
Sure, Marco Polo Davao is a wise hotel to book when you are in Davao. Great and quality service, friendly and attentive staffs; something that you should consider when booking a hotel.
