Baguio

WARNING: LONG OVERDUE POST / JULY 2014

I woke up very early to catch a bus to Baguio from Dau, Pampanga. It was very early I think I slept the entire time. I arrived in Baguio around 11ish and went directly to Upstairs Bed & Bath to drop my backpack.

It was cold and I love it. Very Bukidnon but much colder. Its my first visit in Baguio and I don't have an Itinerary at all. I just walked and walked and eventually got lost. I stopped and had lunch at a Carinderia. Gutom=solb!

Walked a little more and spotted a jeepney that reads "Session Road" its like a eureka moment for me. "okay, Session Road it is."  I love Session Road. I heard of Pizza Volante and their good pizzas from a TV show so I went in but I got curious with their pasta. It was good and Lemongrass tea was the bomb. It was SO GOOD. SO DAMN GOOD I ordered my second glass.

It rained a little when I started walking along session road so I decided to hail a cab and got back to SM Baguio since it near my hostel.

What a great way to end a cold day in Baguio hah!

We transferred to Microtel by Wyndham the next day. Boy oh boy it was gorgeous and we had a fantastic room to stay in.

I had no plans to really go to all "touristy" spots in Baguio So I just went with the flow. The plan was not to have a plan at all. Which Im pretty sure Im good at.

Its freezing cold in the morning.

Food was so so. Trust me, I know food when I see one.  ~ they do have big servings though.

Visited Camp John Hay and had coffee at the prettiest Starbuck's branch I've been too. (No decent photo of Starbucks but its really homey) This part of Baguio is beautiful and quiet.

I am very okay with cold weather. The cold never bothered me anyway (sings) Just like Bukidnon but has a particular charm that I really adore. The air is fresh too. Reminds me so much of my favorite scent. Light and Fresh.  Zalora has an extensive selection of perfumes. Check out their collection here. I'm pretty sure you'll come across a perfume that will remind you of Baguio.

Its so beautiful I don't want to leave. We went back to our hotel and spent the entire afternoon enjoying the cold weather.

We checked out Oh My Gulay along session road for dinner.

It wasn't bad but it's not spectacular either. I only had crepes and their pansit. We decided to eat at Chowking an hour later. lol

I spent a goody hour watching people cross the streets.

We left early the next day.

It's so beautiful. I even Imagined my self retiring in Baguio someday. Baguio is beautiful and I will be back soon. There's so many reasons why I want to go back and I'm saving that moment for the trip with my special someone and together we go restaurant hopping in Baguio.ohh dreams.  Here's a much detailed Baguio itinerary just in case you plan on visiting soon. It was a quick visit but its memorable. Baguio is love.

xoxo

  3. Beautiful entry! There was a time in my life when I went to Baguio every weekend for volunteer work. Like you, I didn't want to leave and entertained the thought of living there. I should've taken the leap! I miss Baguio. I should visit again. :)

  4. I have only visited Baguio only once in my life and it wasn't for travel either. We went there to attend a wake. Unfortunately, our stay was short and uneventful so I wasn't even able to roam around the place. I have never thought of going to Baguio for a trip. My mind is always full of beaches and food. Haha! But then, I might add this up to my travel plans. After all, visiting Baguio won't cost much and I'm sure I'll be able to enjoy the weather! :)
